This photo was taken from the gangplank of the old Oklahoma City Stockyards. There was this wonderful classic cowboy walking down the walkway, looking very “James Dean” in his white shirt and dark blue jeans. He even had the classic swagger to his gate.
The old stockyards are not used much anymore, as the main stockyards have moved northwest of downtown. As a note, there is a historic restaurant right outside the old OKC Stockyards named “The Cattleman” which many dignitaries and presidents have dined in. Some of the best steaks in OKC came be found in The Cattleman, along with fresh Mountain Oysters.
